A unique variety, it combines the cropping potential of commercial varieties, the intense aromatic flavours of woodland and alpine varieties with modern vigour. The Strawberry 'Mara de Bois' is the preferred strawberry of French chefs when looking for exceptional taste and woodland scents.

This strawberry plant produces fruit larger than wild varieties, comparable in size to modern cultivars, with delightfully soft flesh. Developed in France during the early 1990s, it combines everbearing varieties 'Gento' and 'Ostara' with the main season Red Gauntlet and early season Korona. Enjoy fresh berries from June through to early October, providing a long and rewarding harvest.
