There's a lot to look forward to with Cherry 'Stella'. Branches covered in white blossom in spring are followed by heavy crops of large, dark-red cherries, ripening in summer with rich, sweet and juicy flesh that's hard to resist straight from the tree.

One of its biggest advantages for the home gardener is that 'Stella' is completely self-fertile, so you don't need to find room for a second cherry tree to get a crop. It's also a useful pollinator for other compatible sweet cherries if you decide to grow more varieties.

A heavy and regular cropper, 'Stella' has earned RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit status and remains one of the RHS recommended sweet cherries for home growing. Grafted onto Colt rootstock, your tree has medium to semi-vigorous growth and is best given plenty of room to develop.
