Award-winning Asparagus ‘Backlim’ is an all-male mid-to-late season cropper producing an abundance of thick, smooth, straight spears with firm tips and excellent flavour. A popular choice for commercial growers, it’s ideal for growing both white and green spears. Asparagus ‘Backlim’ holds the RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit and has good disease resistance.

Grow white spears from crowns at least 2 years old by mounding earth over the plants in autumn. When new green spears start to appear in spring, the white spears will be below the surface and ready to harvest.
